Ronald Sanabria

Ronald, a Costa Rican citizen, graduated in Industrial Engineering at the University of Costa Rica and holds a Masters degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University. He has worked with the tourism industry on certification, productivity, quality assurance and sustainability since 1992. At the Rainforest Alliance, Ronald has led a movement in several Latin American countries to engage hundreds of tourism companies, in the implementation of sustainable tourism practices; he led the creation of the Sustainable Tourism Certification Network of the Americas and represents the Rainforest Alliance in international initiatives such as the Tourism Sustainability Council (TSC) and the World Heritage Alliance.
