Roger Lang is a Managing Partner of Preservation Capital and the Founder and Fund Manager of the Sun Ranch Group (SRG). Roger devised SRG’s market-driven model for conserving important tracts of the American West. Passionate about the need to conserve important tracts of land for wildlife habitat and migration corridors, he began developing a model for a market-driven conservation approach. As Infinity Financial Technology’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lang led the company through its initial public offering on NASDAQ and its subsequent merger with SunGard Data Systems. Roger was named one of the 50 most influential people in the history of financial risk management by Risk magazine, a major industry publication. He is also the chairman of Fluid, Inc., an e-commerce software and services company, and is the founder and chairman of Cutthroat Communications, Inc., a rural broadband and telecommunications company.

With respect to not-for-profit organizations, Roger is chairman of CREST, as well as the chairman of the Pollinator Partnership, the goal of which is to influence policy relating to food security and the vital role of pollinators to human populations. He is a board member of the Madison Valley Ranchlands Group, a rancher-led organization the goal of which is to promote conservation of important landscapes and ranching way of life principles.
